Engine No. 1134 in the Weeds




A steam locomotive was discovered in Roanoke Virginia, in the back of a scrap yard after fifty years or more gathering rust and was in terrible condition.

The owners of the locomotive were contacted and a purchase agreement with the Transportation Museum of VA was obtained.

North Fork, Inc. was employed to perform the restoration of the very old and dilapidated steam locomotive, they completed the restoration and delivered Engine No.1134 to the current site.

Everything arrived here and arrangements for cranes were made to assist in the placement of the tender and locomotive on the tracks of the Railroad Museum.
